Formed by the brothers Lugui and Pedrão, Cat Dealers consolidates among the three biggest DJs/Producers of Brazil and represents today one of the biggest names in the international electronic scene. In 2019, the duo was voted number 46 in the Top 100 of the world’s biggest DJs by British magazine DJ Mag, climbing 2 positions from its last year’s placement. This is the third year in a row that they have entered the list, having debuted in 2017 at 76th place.
Cat Dealers has the second largest channel of the Brazilian electronic scene on youtube, with more than 700,000 subscribers and over 241 million plays, as well as millions of streams on Soundcloud, Spotify, Deezer and other streaming platforms.
Internationally, the brothers have already played in all five continents, including venues in United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Italy, Portugal, Poland and Spain, where they opened for David Guetta at the Medusa Festival 2018.
As to music, “Your Body,” its first major hit, released in March 2016, has more than 100 million views on YouTube. In addition, several other hits have already been produced by the brothers, such as “Gravity”, in collaboration with Evokings and Magga, which has already passed the mark of 40 million streams on Spotify, ranking fifth in the Brazil Viral 50 and 28th in the Global Viral 50.
At the end of 2018, Cat Dealers closed its year by getting in Forbes 30 Under 30, which highlights promising young Brazilians in many areas, including music. Among the singles, other highlight are “Keep On Lovin'”, with Le Dib, and “Gone Too Long”, a collaboration with Bruno Martini and Joy Corporation. The official remix for “This Is How We Party” by R3HAB and Icona Pop, hit 1.4 million plays in less than a month on Spotify.
In September, they released four songs, including “Party Everyday” with Will Sparks, and “Rewind”, with MAKJ and Caelu. The last one hit half a million plays in three days since its release on Spotify alone and hit over 1.4 million streams in less than a month. In October, Cat Dealers released “Don’t Worry”, an official remix released by Axtone, the exclusive label of Swedish producer Axwell, being the first Brazilians to release by it.
