Biography

Low Steppa is without doubt one of the most influential house music artists of the present day. With a Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ and his well received debut album ‘Boiling Point’ under his belt in 2020, plus a string of successful releases and a packed touring schedule in 2021, it's no wonder he continues to be a pivotal fixture in house music and remains a consistent top ten selling artist on Beatport.

Releasing on some of the most well-respected labels around, including Armada Music, Defected Records and Strictly Rhythm alongside his own Simma Black, a label that has helped launch the careers of many of his contemporaries, it's his unique distinguishable sound with an infectious energy behind the decks, plus a ferocious work ethic, that sets Low Steppa as a singularly talented artist who lives and breathes house music.

Over the last few years, Low Steppa has made a sizable contribution to the house music scene with a run of hit singles of the utmost quality. Notable productions include the massive ‘Heard It All Before’, ‘Runnin’, which certified silver in the UK last year, and ‘Wanna Show You’, all on Armada Subjekt and currently sitting on many millions of streams, whilst his debut with Defected Records, ‘You’re My Life’, capped an incredible few years working closely with the label and helped Low Steppa become a regular fixture at their worldwide parties including London, Ibiza and Croatia. Further highlights include his all-conquering remix of Sonny Fodera ‘Always Gonna Be’, reworks of Hardrive’s ‘Deep Inside’ and Roger Sanchez’s ‘This Feeling’, both of which were picked up by legendary dance label Strictly Rhythm.

Released via dance powerhouse Armada Music, debut album ‘Boiling Point’ took Low Steppa to dizzying heights in September 2022. Featuring key singles ‘Wanna Show You’ feat. Reigns, ‘Runnin’ feat. Kelli Leigh and ‘Heaven’ feat. Mica Paris, the album has clocked up countless spins from key players including Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Annie Mac and MistaJam which led to his highly anticipated Essential Mix debut, the weekend ‘Boiling Point’ dropped.

In addition to his relentless release schedule, one of the many successes of Low Steppa’s career to date has been Simma Black – a label that has risen through the ranks to be one of the most respected imprints around, regularly dominating the Beatport and Traxsource charts with singles from a wide variety of acclaimed producers and rising stars in the making.

Outside of the studio, Low Steppa regularly performs at landmark gigs around the world. Alongside launching his own Boiling Point event series, with sold-out shows in both Manchester and Birmingham, he has also racked up recent appearances at Creamfields, We Are FSTVL, Parklife, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and EDC Las Vegas in addition to US tours and multiple residencies including Ibiza and Defected In The House. Headlining London’s Village Underground in February 2022 is a soon to be career highlight.

If you’re not yet on board the Low Steppa express, it’s time to get yourself a ticket. With new music coming this year, including heavyweight single ‘Your Dreams’, this House music behemoth shows no sign of slowing down.
