An indie pop group based in Philadelphia, Remember Sports released two albums as SPORTS before rebranding in 2018. The project combines singer and main songwriter Carmen Perry's melodic, conversational delivery with a '90s lo-fi influence for a loose, jangly spirit. SPORTS formed at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio in 2012 with the lineup of Perry (lead vocals/guitar), Catherine Dwyer (guitar), James Karlin (bass), and Benji Dossetter (drums). Their debut album, Sunchokes, arrived in the spring of 2014. Jack Washburn joined the band on guitar soon after, and the quintet signed with Father/Daughter Records, which issued their sophomore LP, All of Something, in late 2015. It was recorded in Philadelphia with producer/musician Kyle Gilbride (Waxahatchee, Girlpool). The band moved to Philly before releasing a split single with San Francisco's Plush in 2017.
Slow Buzz In 2018, they rotated Dwyer to bass and brought in Connor Perry to replace Dossetter on drums. Rebranding as Remember Sports, the group released their third album, Slow Buzz, in May of that year. It was recorded in upstate New York by Evan M. Marré, aka Russel the Leaf.
