Mubarek Nii Amartey Radjkoemar ) with Ghanaian roots was born and raised in Amsterdam Southeast. Amartey has been making music for a while and is certainly no stranger in The Netherlands. He started singing in a church choir and over the years his interest in music grew and he became inspired by people from his environment and singers like R. Kelly , Michael Jackson and African artists like Kojo Antwi and Castro. His musical sound can be described as Afro beats with R&B and Pop influences. In 2016 his career took of after a successful summer tour in 2016. Amartey won the talent show SuperSongDay on FunX Radio. His track ‘ Nobody like you ” was appointed FunX best and as icing on the cake he was the support act of none other than international afropop superstar Wizkid. Currently Amartey is busy with his first EP YVNG BOY FROM THE STREETS.
